Steve
McCurrach/AIRSERV most proudly presents the following
accreditations:
|
| Professional
photographer’s accreditation |
PPSA Accreditation
Steve/AIRSERV is a member of the Professional Photographers
of S.A. – Membership No.L128
and where “The PPSA represents the interest
of the profession in general, by promoting high
ethical standards and better service to the public,
continuously updating the practical knowledge and
understanding of its members through workshops,
and stimulating public awareness of the benefits
of using the services of professional photographers.
The PPSA acts as an examining body within the industry.
It publishes an annual register of qualified members,
together with allied occupations, that meet PPSA
standards.
This register is circulated to users and buyers
of photography throughout Southern Africa”.

AMO/Africanpics
accreditation.
AMO work primarily with professional photographers
and where contributing photographers submit to
a stringent selection board for admission. Africanpictures.net
is a professional marketplace which sells publication
rights to pictures and photo features produced
by African photographers and delivers the required
pictures anywhere in the world.
“Perhaps
the biggest challenge to African photography is
access. Africa has a wealth of talented professional
photographers, equal to the challenge of providing
a cover shot for Geo, The New York Times or Condé
Nast. Access is also a challenge to publications
and picture buyers outside Africa (and even within
Africa) who are wanting pictures from Africa.
africanpictures.net enables picture buyers and
photographers to access one another, so that African
photographers can tell Africa’s story on
the international stage.” http://www.africanpictures.net/home.php

WBHO – JSE Listed contractor - La Mercy
Airport http://www.wbho.co.za/
Steve has been taking aerial images of the new King Shaka
International Airport development for us since the pre-commencement
of works on site in August 2007. The monthly challenge
that we set Steve was to capture professional aerial images,
of the transition of the 2.06 hectares site as works turned
the vacant site into a bustling hive of construction activity.
Over the last year, Steve has met this challenge in delivering
a monthly batch of extremely high quality aerial images
on time and in accordance with our expectations. He has
overcome a constantly changing landscape of tricky angles
and awkward subjects to produce a suite of informative
and impressive aerial images.
Steve is always enthusiastic and willing to fit into our
extremely tight monthly timescale, where we battle against
the odds, in trying to capitalise on clear, windless conditions;
all in order to deliver a photo shoot which meets our
needs. An accomplishment that Steve can be proud of as
a professional photographer.
We appreciate Steve’s enthusiasm, commitment and
expertise in his field of work and have no hesitation
in promoting his skilled services to take up other similar
challenges.

From Alba Zondi, PA to Keith Bonsall CEO Capenses:

Council for Geosciences – a South
African parastatal, The Council for Geoscience (CGS)
is one of the National Science Councils of South Africa
and is the legal successor of the Geological Survey
of South Africa - see http://www.geoscience.org.za/
From Goodman Chiliza – Team leader, field geology:
I am so impressed with your work, I am currently working
with your data, to compile the end of year technical
research report and it is very comprehensive results
you’ve got for us Steve. Once again thank you
for doing work with us. I am intending to fly again
sometime in April or early May.
Ports
& Ships – Africa’s most trafficked Internet
portal to the shipping industry.
http://www.ports.co.za/
We express our appreciation for the highly professional
and friendly manner in which you always respond to our
requests for photographs of ships in Durban harbour,
usually 'out of the blue' and often urgent. Even at
weekends when you have been camping among the trees
and mountains of the Midlands you have never failed
to understand the urgency of publishing and we have
never been kept waiting – this is admittedly with
thanks to modern technology, but also to your helpful
and professional nature and attitude. It is only right
therefore that we acknowledge this with appreciation.

| Peer
review |
There can be no more qualified critic of one’s work,
than your professional peers. AIRSERV very proudly quotes
here 3 peer reviews, all are from highly acclaimed S.A.
photographers and which were initially presented as motivations
for AIRSERV’s professional admission to the industry.
From Anthony Allen
I have known Steve McCurrach for many years and in recent
years I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside
Steve on a handful of aerial photographic sorties, as
well as one or two on the ground.
His unlimited enthusiasm, sound knowledge of his subjects
and his creative eye, coupled with his passion for flight
make him an obvious choice for furthering our business
contacts and service suppliers. I have no hesitation
in recommending Steve, a very capable pilot/photographer.
He is my No 1 choice for work that we are not able to
complete in his native area.
From John Hone
I have seen some of Steve McCurrach's aerial photography
work and it is clear that he has an eye for both composition
and interesting subject matter. If he pursues this photographic
direction he will do very well, I am certain.
From Stephen Pryke
I’ve worked with Steve McCurrach and seen his
aerial and landscape work. If you are looking for someone
with promise and potential, I think he is worthy of
your consideration. He understands the needs of his
market and is able to produce the kind of high quality
image that I would personally be happy to present. In
addition, I’m impressed with his understanding
of both the camera and of photography.
